- 72% of adult women do not feel like they are having enough sex. When asked why, the top reasons (with the top answer at the top) are:
- “Too Tired”
- “I don’t feel confident in my body”
- “Lack of a willing partner”
- 88% of men do not feel like they’re having enough sex; of those 60% said it’s due to a lack of willing partner and only 6% blamed it on lack of body confidence
- 47% of attached mothers engage in solo sex at least once a week vs. 62% of attached dads
- 58% of single women ages 18-24 would choose to sleep if they had an extra hour in the week vs. 50% of women 35 or older who would spend that extra hour having sex
- 53% of Dads would spend that extra hour having sex

- 93% of mother’s either own a bedroom toy or would be willing to consider purchasing one
- 86% of mother’s have used a bedroom toy with a partner in the past or would be open to trying it
- 92% of Fathers feel they are not having enough sex; of those 62% say it’s because of an unwilling partner.

I was invited to Ann Taylor to check out their upcoming Fall Collection. As soon as I turned the corner a handsome man was holding tray of champagne while clothes were waiting in the showroom for me. Talk about the luscious life!
Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Ann Taylor has stepped up with game and they have something for the lady who wants to look professional yet stylish all at the same time. Their Fall 2012 is chic, classy, sassy, and downright sexy if I must say so myself. I give the collection a modern courtesan thumbs up. If you have not stepped into an Ann Taylor in a long time, make sure you check out that Fall designs, you won’t be sorry.
I loved the La Femme Joie Collection which had the feel of a French femme fatale who is on the move and you know how we modern courtesans love it French. Any piece that you select from this collection will add a nice oh la la to your wardrobe, especially the stripes.
If you are a modernist, there are many delicious pieces for you to add to your closet that you will be able to wear in a variety of ways. It is a wonderful way to had sleek pieces and get more bag for your buck.
From the Wedding Collection, I loved all of the pieces which could also be used for a formal soiree, not just a wedding. A great collection to find something if you are the kind of girl always going somewhere fun.
For those of you who like a good animal print, there is something for you too. Basically, this coming Fall if you are woman who likes to mix up her wardrobe, Ann Taylor is where it is at.
On the way out, I received a lovely gift bag with a scarf and bracelets. Let’s just say, it will go lovely with all the things that I plan to go pick up from Ann Taylor this Fall.
EatSexy with Sunday Bacon
I attended Food Fete featuring healthy food in New York City. It was a night jam packed with some great healthy eats. While I loved sampling all the good nosh, the table that stood out for me was the Applegate crew.
Applegate makes delicious antibiotic free, natural, and organic meats that include: turkey, chicken, beef, pork and last but not least cheese. They believe in three principles taste, truth and trust.
A courtesan knows that breakfast in bed is a very sexy thing. Next time you surprise your lover with breakfast in the boudoir, fry up some of Applegate’s Sunday Bacon with a stack of buckwheat pancakes. If you or your boo does not eat pork, use Applegate’s turkey bacon.
I sampled their turkey bacon and was blown away. I normally do not eat turkey bacon, because I’m not much of a turkey eater (unless we are talking about smoked turkey). I would definitely buy Applegate’s turkey bacon, the taste was great. If you haven’t found turkey bacon that you like, look for Applegate’s, you will be pleasantly surprised.
I got this awesome recipe for buckwheat pancakes off of Applegate’s website. It says to use their Sunday Bacon, but switch it out for any of their breakfast meat that gets your palate going. Also add some pecans or fruit to the pancakes if you like.
I highly recommend you make this breakfast on Sensual Saturday or Sexy Sunday. This breakfast is sure to be a hit. Once you have finished eating there is sure to a nice round or two of good lovin’!
Buckwheat Pancakes
Ingredients:
¾ cup unbleached all-purpose flour
½ cup buckwheat flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoons sugar
1½ cups buttermilk (or 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 cup of milk) *
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
6 slices Applegate Sunday Bacon
Directions:
Heat a heavy non-stick griddle or well seasoned cast iron skillet over medium heat. Sift or whisk all the dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. Beat the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter together in another medium bowl, and then pour into the flour. Beat until mixed into a thin smooth batter. Pour about ¼ cup of batter, for each pancake, onto the hot griddle and cook until bubbles appear on the top. Flip and cook until golden brown on the bottom. Serve with Applegate Farms Sunday Bacon.
Modern Courtesan Tip: Don’t forget the champagne to kick up the aphrodisiac factor a notch.
